2009-10 Oklahoma City Thunder:
After taking over 14-games into the 2008/09 season, Scott Brooks took the reins of the club and led them to a three game improvement over the previous season and finished out the year at 23-59. On April 15, 2009 GM Sam Presti removed the interim tag and gave him his first head coaching job.
In the offseason draft, the Thunder picked up former Arizona State SG James Harden who averaged 20 ppg, 4.2 asp, and 6 boards a game. The team also acquired former Washington Wizard PF Etan Thomas and former Minnesota PG Kevin Ollie to help Kevin Durant and Jeff Green. While the team upgraded, it did so at a modest pace and the team doesn’t seem to be in a position to even make the playoffs. But, I guess that is why the games are played. Come on out and support your Oklahoma City Thunder as they try and prove the pundits wrong and advance into the NBA Playoffs.
